Purpose
The purpose of the Life Course module if to enhance LEND Audiology fellows’ understanding of factors in outcome of children with hearing loss and important intervals for intervention that maximize outcome
Learning Objectives
As a result of completing this module, trainees will:
- Understand the concepts in Life Course theory of child development
- Understand both the risk factors and supportive factors that impact the development of children with hearing loss
- Understand how audiologists can identify specific intervention strategies that maximize communication development
